IDENTITIES
In the port of Cádiz Bay, every trade leaves its mark.
IDENTITIES draws inspiration from those people who, day after day, keep the port alive. A series of diptychs that bring together face and tool, gaze and material, body and trade.
On one side, those who work; on the other, the things that accompany them: their gloves, their helmets, their tools – the marks of a day’s labour.
Objects worn down by use that ultimately speak of those who carry them. Faces that recount, without words, the memory of a day’s labour.
These are identities forged between hard work and a sense of belonging, between the individual and their trade. Because a port is not just ships, quays and cargo: it is also the sum of all the hands that make it possible.
